Product description

Baby monitors incorporating movement sensing pad(s). This design of baby monitor includes a unique sensor pad placed under the mattress in order to monitor movement of the baby.

AC116, AC201, AC300, AC401, AC402, AC1100

What are the defects?

If the product is not used in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, a child may be able to pull the sensor mat cord into the cot, resulting in a possible strangulation hazard.

What are the hazards?

If the cord is pulled into the cot, it may become wrapped around the child’s neck and pose a risk of strangulation.

What should consumers do?

Consumers should immediately make sure cords are placed out of reach of the child. Parents or carers should also ensure that the units are installed as per the instructions. Consumers can request a free plastic cord track, which assists in correct cord placement. Cord tracks can be obtained by registering on-line at the following address: www.valiantbrands.com.au/upgrade_kit. This kit will be available to consumers within approximately 3-4 weeks.
