Queen Bey and Jay Z Welcome Twins

While you might not have heard of them, it seems a couple who are apparently kind of famous in the music world have welcomed two new bundles of joy.

Of course we jest. You’d have to have been living in a large pit, beneath an even larger rock, on an extremely isolated island not to know that the Queen and King of the music world were expecting twins.

According to reports, the Carter family has grown from 3 to 5 after the couple and big sister Blue Ivy, welcomed the two newest members of pop royalty.

While reps for the couple have yet to confirm the news, Entertainment Weekly, US Weekly and People have all made the call that the twins arrived in Los Angeles last week.

Speculation was rife after Mr Z (or Jay Z to his friends) and daughter Blue Ivy were seen at  a Los Angeles hospital early last week. The site soon became a hot spot for the paparazzi who happened to snap a shot of an unidentified woman carrying a giant bouquet of pink, purple and blue flowers, two baby foot-shaped pink and blue balloons and a card with B+J clearly visible on the front.

Beyonce and Jay Z have made no secret about their desire to grow their family with Bey telling E News back in 2011 during her pregnancy with Blue Ivy that; “Pregnancy is the most incredible gift anyone can have and I’m so happy I’m a woman. Men, I feel bad, they don’t get to experience this. It’s incredible.”

It’s reported that the couple will be bringing the twins home to their modest 2 bedroom shack in downtown LA. KIDDING. The family will apparently be settling into brand new, $120 million dollar digs in the Bel Air neighbourhood. Complete with four pools, a 15 car garage and, we’re presuming, a few more than 2 bedrooms.

Congrats to the family!
