The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have just shared their family Christmas photo for 2018 – and it’s so perfectly adorable, we can’t deal.
The photo shows Prince William and Kate with their brood of royal offspring in casual denim at Anmer Hall, their country home in the village of Anmer in Norfolk, England.
And it’s a world away from last year’s formal shot, where the newly pregnant Duchess wore a dress suit and the Duke sported a suit and tie.
A royal tree change
The Duchess is perched elegantly agains a tree holding Prince Louis while Princess Charlotte and Prince George cheekily pose with their plaid-clad dad. Prince William has his hand firmly around his daughter’s waist to keep her balance in the tree as Prince George balances cheekily on one foot in gumboots.
The picture, taken by photographer Matt Porteous, shows the whole family looking relaxed. Which is just how a modern, loving family should be. We just love it!
“This photograph features on Their Royal Highnesses’ Christmas card this year,” a statement from Kensington Palace says.
What a difference a year makes
It certainly makes a surprising change from last year’s official portrait, where the family wore more formal attire. We have to say, we love the 2018 picture WAY more. How about you?
And doesn’t it show just how much Prince George, now 5, and Princess Charlotte, now 3, have grown.
Let’s not forget Harry and Megs
The Cambridges aren’t the only royal household releasing a drop-dead gorgeous Christmas pic. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex – aka Harry and Meghan – have also released a festive photo. And it’s breathtaking.
The image shows the couple watching fireworks at the reception at Frogmore House following their May wedding. It has not been released to the public before.
