There’s no denying it, the 2018 Royal Adelaide Show is just around the corner. And with half a million people visiting the show each year, it’s sure to be the buzz around Adelaide.
Thanks to our friends at the Royal Adelaide Show we’ve got family passes up for grabs for the show, hitting town 31st August to 9th September 2018.

Making amazing memories for my kids – so much excitement, anticipation and wonder!!
Having gone for the first time last year – my favourite memory was taking my 5 year old through the Mix 102.3’s haunted house singing ‘Living on a Prayer’ to ‘help him not be so scared’. Far out man, he was totally fine…me on the other hand – I couldn’t wait to get out of there!

I love everything about The Show., from the smell of corn on the cob cooking to the wonder of the market stalls to the sound of the music and animals and best of all the smiles everywhere.

I love the show atmosphere the most. The joy, the laughter and the enjoyment of friends and family taking a day away from their crazy lives to enjoy themselves. You cannot help but smile when you see how much fun everyone around you is having and i look forward to it every year! Cannot wait to take my baby boy this year for the first time !

I love taking my kids to see and touch the animals! Being city kids they don’t get opportunities to touch a lamb or see a cow being milked. It’s a great learning opportunity

My absolute favourite part of the show is the show food. Food you can’t gef most times of the year. Dagwood dogs, chip on a stick…. all those amazing things.
There are too many things to choose from! However, I love seeing the smiles on my kids faces when they look through their showbags or come off the rides!

I always make a point of visiting the decorated occasion cake section in the pavilion as I admire the patience and skill involved to prepare these works of art.

My favourite thing about the show is the excitement that it brings for my little family. For us, the show is one day a year we can guarantee my partner/ kids Dad has off and won’t be called into work, we love the wood chop and dippydogs!

I like that a little bit of country life comes to the city and I can share that experience with my kids. All the animals, rides, showbags and market stalls makes it a great day for everyone.
I just love how excited my kids get! This will also be my youngest first Adelaide Show! Can’t wait to see his little face light up, just like his older brother and sister!

We love the animals most. It’s been 5 years since we’ve been. It would be great to take the kids now they’re older, plus our 2 little boys.
I love just spending the day with my family – it doesn’t happen often with work and other commitments… I love going on the Ferris wheel and the fireworks the best 🙂

The atmosphere is so buzzing and exciting! So much to see and do, and the showbags. It will be our first time as a family this year!
I love seeing all the animals and looking at all the artwork. If I win, I will be taking my two nephews who have never been so they can experience watching the crusty demons former members do their dirt bike tricks and show them how much fun it really is at the show!

Spending the whole day with my husband and my 10yr old, watching his face light up as he walks through everything and seeing all the lights and spectacular sounds, his little face lights up when we spend a $100 to win a $20 toy is just priceless,but that’s what the show is all about, love it
Love, love, love the show atmosphere. It’s city and country rolled into one big fun filled time for the whole family.
The things I love the most about the Royal Adelaide show is seeing so many smiling faces in one place, along with enjoying the amazing displays of crafts and Plants etc, love the effort that has gone into the display. O Yes mustn’t forget a Green Frog Cake and a cup Tea , watching the Fireworks as well. 🙂

Making memories with my children and reliving my own childhood memories. Watching the beautiful bright lights of all the rides at night, accompanied by the screams, laughs and chatter of sideshow alley. Being lured in because “every player wins a prize” and forever hoping that my family will be one of “those” families walking around with a massive plush toy from a lucky win on the Clowns. The smell of the warm cinnamon donuts, the excitement of the showbag hall, eating all our Bertie Beatles whilst we watch the stunt cars in the main arena, and always being so close to making some kind of crazy “show special” purchase- will we again be amazed by the spas and almost sign on the dotted line… or will we hit back to reality a second before doing so? The show is just one of those magical experiences.

The excitement of memories….the animals, showbags and our states best of produce and farming things. Cakes, fashion and dog shows to judge…love it, Im a big kid and my kids just roll their eyes, but one day they will look on great memories too…

Love how diets become obsolete at this time of year. The Adelaide Show gathers all of the most delicious food stalls and makes them available to tempt everyone’s cravings. The favourite I look forward to is the Ollybollen from the Dutch Pancake van. Salivating here….
We go every year because the kids love the rides, showbags & animals.
We like spending a day as a family & welcome the chance for the kids to learn more about the country life that city kids don’t always appreciate.
