Okay, so travel is still off the table, but once we’re allowed to venture outside our doors again, I know EXACTLY where I’m going. To this Winnie the Pooh treehouse!
That’s right – Pooh’s iconic treehouse in the Hundred Acre Wood is now available on Airbnb. The custom-built ‘Bearbnb’ is located in Ashdown Forest in East Sussex, England and comes complete with ALL the classic Pooh fixings we so fondly remember.
Winnie the Pooh Treehouse comes to life
The treehouse is clearly a work of love and hosted by the famous artist, Kim Raymond, who used to work for The Walt Disney Company and was an illustrator for Winnie the Pooh.
As Kim writes on Airbnb,
This house is a window into my world. I have been working with a team of experts to bring Winnie the Pooh’s ‘Tree House’ as depicted in the classic A.A. Milne tales, to life, in Ashdown Forest, the inspiration behind the Hundred Acre Wood, as part of Disney’s 95th Anniversary celebrations of the loveable children’s character.
I am so excited to welcome families to the original Hundred Acre Wood.”
Okay, so, although we might not be able to book ourselves in for the night, we can do the next best thing – scroll through the pics and PRETEND we’re there.
Isn’t it just the most charming place you’ve ever seen? The timber ceiling, the antique kettle and clock, the rosey couch, the adorable wallpaper…
No need to BYO Honey either. It’s all supplied! Check out those sweet honeypots.
The quaint little house sleeps four and comes kitted out with a lounge area and bedroom. And check out those floating beds for the kids!
Outside is just as perfect too – we love the little dining setting nestled deep in the woods.
Bookings open for Pooh’s house on 20 September 2021. You can check out all the pics and the story behind the treehouse over at Airbnb.
