Britney Spears, 39, has been in the public eye for decades now and I will be the first to admit I want to see her free, happy and sporting her sassy ass snake as a scarf again.
Sure, she’s done a few questionable things in the past, but, hey haven’t we all? I mean, who hasn’t wanted to shave their head at some point? Or sport a skin-tight leather orange bodysuit. We can’t all pull it off, but, Britney can.
2021 is the year of Britney and we’re here for it
Brit’s been living under her dad’s crazy conservatorship for 13 years now, which means he’s in charge of pretty much everything she does, including whether or not she takes birth control.
She’s recently spoken openly about this, admitting that this personal and financial conservatorship has “killed my dreams”.
Brit wants to be free, guys. To get married, to have another child, to dress in what she wants to wear. Yes, she has an undisclosed mental illness, but, COME ON. Let the girl live her life! Enough is enough.
No performances until conservatorship lifted
Britney is taking a massive stand against it all, heading to Instagram and putting her foot down.
She puts the haters in their place and vows that she will not perform again while her father retains control over her career.
She has not performed in public since late 2018 at the end of a world tour and an extended concert residency in Las Vegas.
For those of you who choose to criticize my dancing videos … look I’m not gonna be performing on any stages anytime soon with my dad handling what I wear, say, do, or think 🚫🙅🏼♀️ 🚫!!!!
I’ve done that for the past 13 years … I’d much rather share videos YES from my living room instead of onstage in Vegas where some people were so far gone they couldn’t even shake my hand and I ended up getting a contact high from weed all the time … which I didn’t mind but it would have been nice to be able to go to the mother fucking spa 💆🏼♀️🤭🧖🏼♀️ !!!!”
We’re guessing her dad doesn’t let her go to the spa?
And no I’m not gonna put on heavy makeup and try try try on stage again and not be able to do the real deal with remixes of my songs for years and begging to put my new music in my show for MY fans … so I quit !!!!”
‘My support system hurt me deeply’
She also takes a stab at her sister for performing her songs and shares her thoughts on the documentaries made about her this year.
I don’t like that my sister showed up at an awards show and performed MY SONGS to remixes !!!!!
My so-called support system hurt me deeply !!!! This conservatorship killed my dreams … so all I have is hope and hope is the only thing in this world that is very hard to kill … yet people still try !!!!
I didn’t like the way the documentaries bring up humiliating moments from the past … I’m way past all that and have been for a long time !!!!
Fairy tales forever
And for women who say it’s weird the way I still have hope for fairy tales … go fuck yourself 🖕🏼 !!!!! As I said … hope is all I have right now … you’re lucky I post anything at all … if you don’t like what you see, unfollow me !!!
People try to kill hope because hope is one of the most vulnerable and fragile things there is !!!! I’m gonna go read a mother fucking fairy tale now !!!!
Psss if you don’t want to see my precious ass dancing in my living room or it’s not up to your standards … go read a fucking book 📕 !!!!!”
Brit has recently hired a new lawyer but has yet to file a formal request to end the conservatorship. The next court hearing is on September 29 in Los Angeles.
