Getting your baby to take a bottle is a huge WIN, especially if your infant is a bit fussy when it comes to feeding.

It means partners can help out with the feeding duties and us mums can leave the house for more than three hours at a time! Woot woot!

Whether you’re bottle-feeding breastmilk or formula, it’s important to find a bottle that bub likes, that will minimise excess gas and tummy pain, that is easy to clean and that isn’t going to cost you an arm and a leg. Well, guess what mums – we’ve found a bottle that offers ALL this and more!

Inspired by what babies love most – mum’s boobies – the award-winning Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature bottles have been touted as one of the best bottles for breastfed babies. This is thanks to the fact the teat replicates the natural flex and stretch of the breast. Plus, the teat is easy for baby to latch on to.

However, we never just take a brand’s words as gospel. So, of course, we asked 10 Mum Central mums to trial and review the Closer to Nature baby bottles, in both BPA-free plastic and eco-friendly glass, and share their honest thoughts.

Find out what our reviewers thought of Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature bottles plus enter to win an awesome bottle-feeding pack (valued at over $500).

Most of the babies easily latched to the teat and most mums loved the eco-friendly glass bottle option, which was definitely easier to clean and ideal for parents looking for a bottle made of recyclable and sustainable material. These bottles are naturally BPA, phthalates, and toxin-free too, which is also important when feeding your baby.

The teat replicates the natural flex and stretch of the breast and our breastfeeding mums agreed that it was an easy transition from breast to bottle. The shape of the bottle and the glass material were also big pluses, especially when it comes to cleaning time!

I love them! My 4-month old son didn’t struggle with latch going to bottle,” – Kassandra R

I found the glass bottle really good to clean and keep clean.” – Ashlee W

Independent Babies

Another thing that many of our mums commented on was how much their little ones loved to feed themselves with these bottles. The shape of them makes them perfect for little hands and promotes independence in infants.

My 14 month old manages to hold and self-feed due to the shape of them. He also recently likes putting the lid on himself. ” – Eden T

He recognises the bottles and will reach out for them when we enter the room with them, it’s so cute!” – Stephanie L

The size and shape of the bottle was perfect for both me and bub to hold. The bottle is also a great size to take everywhere with you and fits nicely into your bag.” – Jessie G

Great for Colic Too

Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature bottles are also ideal for bubs with colic, as the design of the teat creates a tight seal and eliminates excessive airflow. Our mums with colicky babies noticed the difference during feeding time straight away.

We haven’t had any gas/tummy upsets while using the bottles which has been amazing!” – Stephanie L

I found the amount of air consumed by Hunter significantly reduced, which means less belly aches for him,” – Jessie G

Ideal For Both Breastfed and Bottle Fed Babies

While some of our triallers are mainly breastfeeding, others are exclusively bottle feeding. However, regardless of how bub is being fed, one thing remains the same – the Tommee Tippee bottles make feeding time stress-free and enjoyable for everyone.

My son is mainly breastfed and it’s a godsend to find a bottle that he will take for his dad while I’m at work.” – Stephanie L
