Prepare for broken hearts guys, my favourite ginger boyfriend rockstar is having a baby! Yes, Ed Sheeran and his wife Cherry Seaborn are expecting their first child. SO SWEET!
First Bindi and Chandler and now Ed and Cherry, we’re loving the overnight baby news here at Mum Central!
Ed tells fans he’ll BRB then promptly disappears
Fans of Ed will know that he announced he was taking a break after the worldwide tour of his Divide album last year. He announced the break on his Instagram and we really haven’t heard boo from him since…
And now we know why. Not just down and out because of COVID lockdown, but also because they’re expecting a little mini Sheeran. And if what “friends” are reporting is any indication, they’re due in only a matter of weeks. So sneaky, AND CLEVER.
Friends have been quoted saying:
“Ed and Cherry are over the moon. They’re very excited, but have kept things very low-key.”
“Lockdown was a perfect excuse not to be seen out and about too much, but things are getting closer and the excitement has been building so they have started telling friends and family.”
“They’re just making the last of the preparations at home, and the baby is expected later this (UK) summer.”
“It’s a really happy time and their families are all totally delighted for them and cannot wait to meet the new arrival.”
Oh what happy news, we’re thrilled for this soon-to-be family of three!
Wait. Ed’s married?
Sorry ladies and gents, just in case you missed it – yes, Ed is off the market.
Carrying out life’s major milestones in a low-key, no-fuss style is Ed and Cherry’s forte. Ed married his childhood sweetheart back in December of 2018. In a completely quiet, non-celeb kind of way at Cherry’s family church in Suffolk followed by a reception at a local village pub. As you do when you’re a superstar.
So with that, we will sit idle as aunts and uncles to be, and await news of the pending arrival in what sounds like it could all be happening very soon. It won’t be long at all and Ed will be not only singing Lego House but creating them as well. Congratulations Ed and Cherry!
