FOOD RECALL: Contamination Alert on ALDI Hot Dogs

ALDI is recalling a popular brand of hot dogs because they may contain bacteria and bone fragments.

The supermarket has issued the warning for Berg Smallgoods’ American Style Skinless Hot Dogs, 375g, with all use by dates up to and including  28/01/18.

The Berg hot dogs have been available for sale at all ALDI stores throughout Australia. The company has warned that eating this product could make you sick. Customers should return the hot dogs to their nearest store.

Do not eat

“Food products contaminated with microbial pathogens may cause illness if consumed. Food products containing foreign objects may cause injury if consumed,” a recall notice says.

“Consumers should not eat this product. Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice.”
