For our Tasmania readers, the IKEA story has just gotten a little sweeter with the launch of IKEA’s Click & Collect service (we think it’s a total game changer!)
And any die-hard fan will tell you, shopping at IKEA is more than just a little addictive and I think it goes without saying that most Australian homes would be sporting a piece or two of the Swedish flat-pack giant’s home decor.
There’s one thing we’re serious about at Mum Central. We’ll never recommend a product we haven’t tried ourselves! So when IKEA launched Click & Collect in Tasmania we decided to try the process out – and then let you know all about it!
So what is Click and Collect I hear you ask?
This revolutionary new service is as easy as 1, 2, 3 and allows Tasmanians to access IKEA now right across the state. Shop online, select your nearest collection point from Hobart or Launceston and easily collect your item without even entering the store! So easy for flat-packed items and shopping pain free with the kids! Voila!
Click & Collect is truly as simple as ordering online and collecting from one of the two available destinations – Hobart or Launceston.
It’s the 1, 2, 3 of IKEA shopping really!
Our order which was a BJORNLOKA quilt cover set $49.99), a flatpack UDDEN kitchen trolley ($99), a couple of FINTORP Cutlery Stands ($9.99 each) and a couple of VAREIRA cutlery holders ($24.99ea). Well let’s just say Click & Collect was a dream!
You simply place your order online and once the goods are ready for collection you’ll be notified. We then jumped in the car and headed to the Hobart depot to collect the items with our paperwork. There were no queues, no checking out and it was super-easy to load all the items into the car.
Once home, and the kids out of sight, we set to putting together the only real flat pack product in our mix, which was the UDDEN Kitchen Trolley. Thank goodness for instructions however wasn’t that difficult to put together. #winning
As a Mum with small kids and on a tight time frame Click & Collect was a godsend. If you’ve got bulky items, are short on hours or shopping with little people Click & Collect is for you!
