Warm up your virtual shopping carts folks, two of the country’s favourite retailers are taking their businesses online and we expect it’s going to be HUGE.

You know it’s going to be an awesome day when you learn that Costco and IKEA are both delivering the goods to your front door, no matter where you live in this great land.

Yes, you heard that right. Costco and IKEA are extending their services into the virtual world.

Prepare yourselves Mum Central readers, your day is about to be MADE.

No longer is Costco out of reach for those who don’t live close by to the bulk buying retailer. WE first told you about Costco delivery last year and now a mammoth sized Costco distribution centre warehouse is being built in Sydney’s Kemps Creek. And Costo says it will service stores nationally as well as processing online business when it opens next year.

Costco delivers!

“It’ll make Costco available for everyone in the country from Perth to Darwin to Hobart,” Costco Australia General Manager, Patrick Noone tells 9 News.

Now that you’ve secured 5kg of gravy mix, 30 rolls of toilet paper and giant jars of Nutella from your armchair, the only question that remains is where to store it when you’re not elbow deep into it with a spoon.

Good news folks, IKEA has just announced a whole line up of their awesome range is now available online. All the storage solutions from KALLAX to LIATORP, packs of 100 tea lights and all the hygge your home can handle is only a click away. You won’t be stung at the checkout with delivery fees either – charges start at a very reasonable $9. That’s a small price to pay to beat holiday crowds and not test your ice-cream cone willpower upon exit.

Ikea launch online shopping

We’re keeping our ears close to the ground on the Costco front and we’ll be sure to report back when the online checkout is open for service. In the meantime, make sure you have your Costco annual membership sorted and keep your shopping list handy!
