Our shopping dreams are coming true and Kmart AFTERPAY is about to become a reality.

While there have been plenty of practical jokes surrounding the idea of Kmart getting Afterpay in the past, this time, it’s true! SQUEEEE!

We will be making a formal announcement about our new partnership early next week, but can confirm that customers will soon have the option to use Afterpay for online purchases,” – a Kmart spokesperson confirmed.

It’s speculated that the new paying option will launch on 18 September 2018, which is especially perfect for us early Christmas shoppers. Although the exact details aren’t confirmed just yet, it’s been suggested that there will be a minimum spend of $70 and a maximum of $1000.

How does Afterpay work?

If you’ve never used Afterpay before, allow us to briefly explain. Essentially, it works like a loan but without the interest. Once you select Afterpay as your payment option, you have eight weeks to pay the amount back in four installments. And without any extra fees. Pretty sweet, right? Heaps of Aussie companies use it, including JetStar and we’ve been waiting with baited breath for Kmart to join the crowd.
