Kmart’s highly-sought-after beach trolley just reached next level awesome.

Forget the pram. Take the beach trolley! It’s cheaper, easier to manoeuvre and holds all your precious goodies, including your infant.

As one very clever mum discovered, the durable Kmart beach trolley isn’t just for holding towels, eskys and sand toys. It also doubles as the perfect off-road pimped-out pram.

A trolley full of baby sweetness

North Brisbane mum-of-three, Sam Fawke recently spent two weeks over the school holidays camping with her family, including daughters Addison and Marlee, and three-month-old son, Harvey.

With a newborn in tow, camping isn’t always the easiest of tasks. But Sam and her hubby Justin came up with an ingenious way to keep bub content when sleeping and awake – the Kmart beach trolley. Of course, we’ve shown you the Kmart-beach-trolley-as-a-baby-bed before, but this new hack takes it to the extreme.

Add one baby bouncer, a pram cover and the beach trolley and you’ve got everything you need to keep bubba happily shaded and sand-free wherever you go.

“My hubby’s hack on the beach trolley! Spent two weeks camping and this was a lifesaver!! Plus he loved it!!” Sam writes on Kmart Mums Australia Facebook page.

The family used the trolley to transport their little man just about everywhere – at the beach, around the caravan park and on family walks. Clearly little Harvey also loved his beach trolley upgrade!

Heaps of other mums are echoing their love for the beach trolley, sharing their own photos of the versatile product.  Clever parents have added fishing rods and cups holders to the trolley while others have used it as a portable esky.

It also works well for bringing in your groceries from the car and transporting two school-aged children who are too lazy to walk across the car park.

Shut up and take my money, Kmart

The beach trolley came out last year and quickly became the must-have item of 2017. It retails for $49 but stock is still pretty limited and it is no longer featured on the Kmart website, most likely because mums like me have snatched them all up!

Did you manage to nab one? Will you be jumping on board this Kmart beach trolley hack bandwagon?

  1. I love the green “net”. It filters the sun and prevents attacks by mosquitoes and other biting insects. Using other material as used to be done blocks the fresh air and in warm weather the space in which your baby is “enclosed” can become quite hot.
