Peter Alexander has joined forces with Maccas to deliver a tasty treat for all PJ lovers – especially for us oldies who still remember the way Maccas used to be when we were growing up with an epic range of Maccas PJs!
You know, the classic birthday parties in the ball pit (before ball pits were considered a hotbed of germs) and the quirky characters like the Hamburgular and Grimace? The hamburger-themed stools and the vibrant red and yellow colour-scheme that dominated every wall of the place.
Well, this old-school Maccas vibe has returned, in PJ form, and we’re lovin’ it!
Peter Alexander and Maccas PJs: A Match Made in Happy Meal Heaven
Available today, Wednesday 14 June, the new Maccas PJs limited edition collection features thirteen exclusive prints inspired by Macca’s world-famous burgers, fries, and iconic McDonaldland characters, including Ronald McDonald, Hamburglar and Grimace.
The retro 70s vibe is evident in every piece with the classic logo returning, including all the OG Maccas mates.
Ronnie’s there. And Hamburlar and Grimace. Plus Birdie the Early Bird (yes, I had to Google this) and the Fry Kids. It’s a smorgasbord of nostalgia and we’re here for it!
The OG golden arches also make an appearance as do a range of their previous logos from the 70s and 80s.
In total, there are 37 pieces to choose from, including PJ pants and shirts, shorts, hooded nighties, slippers, t-shirts and flannelette PJs.
While most of the items are designed for mum and dad, who, after all, will actually recognise the logos and characters, there are flannelette PJs for kids plus an adorable pee-shirt (that’s pup shirt and yes, I just made that up) for your pet.
Old-school comfort
The Macca’s x Peter Alexander collaboration is part of McDonald’s 50th birthday celebrations in Australia and this is the second collection McDonalds and Peter Alexander have done together.
