We’re less than two weeks from Christmas so many of us would already have a few staples tucked away for the big day, including frozen turkey breast rolls.

A recall has been issued for Steggles Frozen Turkey Breast Roll (1kg pack size). The product has been available for sale at Coles in Qld, NSW, ACT, Vic & Tas, and independent food retailers including IGA in NT, SA & Tas. So if you’ve been stockpiling for Christmas Day – it’s worth checking.

What you need to know

Check your freezer for this Steggles product:

  • Steggles Frozen Turkey Breast Roll (1kg) with best before date 29 June 2022.

Problem: The recall is due to the product being packaged incorrectly, which has resulted in the presence of undeclared allergens including gluten, sulphites and tree nuts.

Food safety hazard: It’s VERY dangerous for people with food allergies (nuts, gluten or sulphites) to eat. They could unknowingly become sick, triggering mild to severe allergic reactions.

What to do: Return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund. You should not need a receipt given it’s a recall.
