Family Welcomes Baby ‘Frankenstein’ Born on Halloween

Nope. This is not a trick.

But it certainly is the perfect Halloween treat for a Florida couple who welcomed their baby ‘Frankenstein’ on Halloween.

Over here, Halloween isn’t the most celebrated (or welcomed) day of the year. But, in America, Halloween is huge. We’re talking Christmas-huge. And it’s just not Halloween without a few monsters of Frankenstein wandering around the streets.

Or mothers of Frankenstein labouring in the delivery room.

This year, while families got dressed up in matching costumes and kids went door to door asking for sweets, Jessica Frankenstein (yes, that’s her real name), gave birth to her first child, a little boy named Oskar Gray.

Baby Oskar Gray Frankenstein arrived four days late, on 31 October 2017, making his surname even more iconic (and ironic!) than it already is. If only Jessica, and her husband, Kyle Frankenstein, opted for the name “Victor”…

But wait, it gets better! Because this isn’t the first Frankenstein birthday surprise. Turns out, Oskar Gray’s aunt shares the same birthday as “Frankenstein” author Mary Shelley.

Talk about a spooky coincidence! For more baby name stories, check out what happened when this couple tried to name their baby Lucifer.
