12 Baby Shower Games That Will Guarantee FUN!

[mc_block_title custom_title=”Game 1: How old was she?”]

Gather a collection of photos of mum-to-be at different ages (don’t forget a few baby snaps, toddler and an awkward as hell school photo in amongst them). Display them on a board and place a number next to each photo. Provide a pen and paper for each guest to record their guesses as to how old the guest of honour is in each pic. Whoever gets the most guesses right, wins!

[mc_block_title custom_title=”Game 2: Don’t say ‘baby’!”]

It sounds EASY in theory, but not saying the word ‘baby’ at a baby shower is a new form of torture. BUT OH SO FUN. As each guest arrives, give them a peg to peg their shirt or thread a dummy on a piece of ribbon as a make-shift necklace. If you’ve caught someone saying the word ‘baby’, they must give up their nappy peg (or necklace) to you. She with the most pegs at the end of the shower wins!

It’s time to test your sense of smell (and taste if you’re game!). Buy several jars of baby food, conceal the labels and number the jars. Guests can smell and taste (supply some pop sticks) each jar to guess its contents. Apple or pear? chicken or rice pudding? The person with the most correct answers is the winner.

[mc_block_title custom_title=”Game 4: A minute to win it – list the baby gear”]

There’s no denying it, babies need a lot of stuff, or do they? Arm your baby shower guests with pen and paper, set the timer and ask them to list as many baby items as they can before the buzzer goes off. The winner is the person with the most answers.

[mc_block_title custom_title=”Game 5: Play it, DJ!”]

Come on down rockstars, it’s time to test your guest’s music knowledge! Set up a playlist for songs with ‘baby’ in the title (hello Justin Bieber and Baby Shark Do Doo Doo). Play just a snippet (around 15 seconds is perfect) and asks guests to list the song name and artist. You guessed it, the player with the most correct answers gets all the winning glory!

[mc_block_title custom_title=”Game 6: Blindfolded nappy changes”]

This will weed out the pros from those without experience, find out which mums are boss as they time trial changing a nappy change of a baby doll (or teddy bear) while blindfolded. Prepare to laugh, a LOT. She with the fastest time (and dressed baby) wins.

[mc_block_title custom_title=”Game 7: Guess the baby bump”]

A baby shower CLASSIC. Give each guest a length of ribbon or measuring tape. A guessing game, ask guests to cut their length at their estimate of the size of mum-to-be’s growing baby bump or estimate the total length around her belly. Get ready for some WAY OFF measurements!

[mc_block_title custom_title=”Game 8: Guess the chocolate bar”]

You know it! Grab yourself some chocolate bars, melt each one and squash them individually into a nappy for people to prod, poke, sniff and guess what each nappy contains. So gross, but so much fun! She who can identify the most chocolate bars wins.

[mc_block_title custom_title=”Game 9: Late night nappy notes”]

Here’s the chance for guests to bestow their best parenting advice, sweet well wishes or just a very funny joke upon the parents-to-be. Set up a box of disposable newborn nappies and textas with a sweet note reading “write something funny or encouraging to give mum and dad a little pick-me-up in the {wee} hours of the night“. Sweet!

[mc_block_title custom_title=”Game 10: Eeeep, my water broke!”]

Gather mini plastic baby dolls and your ice cube trays, it’s time to freeze them into ice cubes! Give each guest a cold drink with a baby-filled ice cube in it. Whoever it is who first releases their baby from being surrounded in ice shouts “MY WATER BROKE!” and is declared the winner.

[mc_block_title custom_title=”Game 11: Who is that baby?”]

Who is that baby? Ask each guest to bring a baby photo of themselves and display them on a board, each with a number. Give guests 15 minutes to match the baby photos to their fellow guests. The person with the most correct matches wins!

[mc_block_title custom_title=”Game 12: Baby shower bingo!”]

Baby shower bingo is a great game to play when the guest of honour opens her gifts. Fill bingo cards with gift ideas she’s likely to open (this is really easy if there’s a gift registry, but think breast pump, socks, bibs, swaddle, nappies etc). Guests mark the items off your bingo card as she opens them. The first one to mark a completed card line, yells “BINGO” and is the winner.

With these baby shower games, your baby shower soiree is sure to be a real hoot! We hope you have a blast!
