Dame Judi Dench can do NO wrong. Proving age is merely just a number, she’s hitting news stands this month in a historic move as a British Vogue magazine covergirl!

M.. for model? M.. for mature? We say M.. for MAGNIFICENT.

Dame Judi Dench as a magazine cover girl is pure class

Move over whippersnappers, Dame Judi Dench is claiming your ring light illuminated turf! The June 2020 issue of British Vogue magazine stars the iconic, adored actress at the age of 85. I mean if that’s not something to strive for in your later years, then I don’t know what is.

Dame Judi’s cover makes history as the eldest person EVER to star on the cover of Vogue magazine. What a badge of honour to hold, am I right?

But how does Dame Judi Dench feel about getting older and being 85-years-old? The answer – pretty much not loving it.

In her British Vogue interview, she tells journalist Giles Hattersley on the subject of being aged 85 – “I don’t like it at all. I don’t think about it. I don’t want to think about it. They say age is an attitude… it’s horrible.”

Elderly? A smidge.  Still rocking it? Most definitely.

And while I can’t completely understand where she’s coming from (not being in my senior years myself) we can sympathise that it must be difficult. Age aside, Dame Judi is still as quick-witted, sharp-tongued and very much an absolute delight. (I’m an avid Graham Norton Show watcher, can you tell?)

A worthy cover model if ever there was one, Dame Judi Dench is known for her tireless work on the big and small screen. Accolades are countless and include Shakespeare and Bond smash hits and more recently, films such as Victor & Abdul and Six Minutes To Midnight. One thing for sure, she’s never NOT working. She’s without a doubt one of Britain’s national treasures with staying power to boot, Judi’s a role model for all actors in the industry.
