A not-so-little man is making headlines in Franklin, USA after surprising his parents and hospital staff by his size. The adorable big baby named Leo Everett Taylor was born with a head full of hair and weighed a whopping 6.0kg or 13.2 pounds.
He was born on the 4th of July (Independence Day in America) and photographer Kristy Lloyd commemorated the occasion with a sweet crochet-themed photo shoot.
Red, white and blue indeed!
And what a trooper mum is! Her placenta alone weighed in at 4 lbs! We’re sure mum is feeling just a little bit red, white, blue and bruised after that big baby birth effort!
Williamson Medical Center shared the photo series on its Facebook page, adding,
Coming in with a bang at 13.2 pounds, this firecracker is helping us celebrate 4th of July in our nursery!”
The congratulations comments came flooding in with plenty of praise for mum and comments on just how adorable this chubby cheek cherub is.
One commented that Leo looks like a mini John Goodman while plenty suggested she has a football player in the making.
Many were blown away by his size, stating that their own three, four, and five-month-old babies don’t even weigh that much yet. At three months old, the average weight for a baby boy is 6.0kg, which is exactly what this fella weighed.
But is he the biggest baby on record? Not even close!
