Try (and keep) the Pigeon GoMini Double Electric Breast Pump

If you’re a new breastfeeding mum (or expecting a new baby VERY soon and plan on breastfeeding/expressing), then we’d love to have you join us as we review the Pigeon GoMini Double Electric Breast Pump.

We are looking for 10 new breastfeeding mums to share your thoughts and some video content on the Pigeon GoMini Double Electric breast pump. The pump is yours to keep as our way to say thank you for helping us with our Mum Central Reader Trial & Review.

If this sounds like something that you’d be interested in, scroll to the bottom to apply to be one of our reviewers. But first, let’s have a closer look at what makes the Pigeon GoMini so unique.

A NOTE TO POTENTIAL REVIEWERS: We are looking for mums to video review this product but this doesn’t mean we need video footage of you expressing (in other words, no need to flash the camera!)  Rather we’d love to see the breast pump features in action – the different expression modes and how to set it up, for example. So please only apply if you’re comfortable in providing a video review as part of the trial process.

What is a double electric breast pump anyway?

Most mums agree that regardless of how much you plan on expressing or for how long, a double electric breast pump is well worth the investment. “Double” means that you can express both breasts at the same time. “Electric” means that the breast pump does the sucking for you so you don’t have to manually pump the device to extract the milk.

The result of a double electric breast pump is clear – quicker, easier expressing so you can alleviate those swollen breasts faster, express more milk quickly and spend less time with a pump attached to your breasts.

Pigeon GoMini: where style meets function

The Pigeon GoMini is one of the best electric breast pumps. It’s comfortable, includes an anti-slip feature for easy hold (you’d be surprised how many don’t!), and comes with both stimulation (to help boost your milk let down) and expression (to extract milk) modes.

Best of all, it’s fuss-free which is what we all need in a breast pump.

The Pigeon GoMini comes with everything you need to express at home, at work or on the go.

There’s no confusion when it comes to setup and usage which is a big plus for sleep-deprived mums who really don’t need the extra stress of reading an instruction manual to get the device to work.

There are five different expression modes so you can play around with the one that feels best for you. Plus you can easily switch between stimulation and expression modes once you feel that milk starting to flow.

Super pumping action in a small design

But what we especially love about it is its size. It’s similar to the size of your mobile phone which means you can take it anywhere with you – to work, away for the weekend, even in your handbag if you’re on a baby-free night out and need to quickly express in the toilet. Which, trust me, happens more often than most breastfeeding mums like to admit!

Express whenever, wherever

It’s also the best breast pump for pumping on the go. If you are planning on going back to work soon, having this handy GoMini is such a godsend. I cannot even explain how embarrassing and awkward it was having to carry my massive breast pump into the office (and on an airplane more than once) when I was expressing with my kids. It basically needed its own carry-on!

This couldn’t be further from the case with the GoMini. The breast pump looks cool, allows for one-hand operation, is easy to transport, and is quiet so you don’t have the whole office listening to the “Duf Duf” sound as you express. You can also just use it on one side as a single pump which many mums prefer to do once their milk production slows down.

Use it as a single breast pump or a double breast pump. The choice is yours.

And, ready for this? You don’t have to always have an outlet handy to use it. It comes with a small and light motor pump with a USB port and a LED light which shows your power level – simply plug it into your power bank, computer or even your car and you are ready to pump.

The GoMini works with both Pigeon slim and wide bottles, and the breast pump comes with two Pigeon bottles so you don’t need to go out and buy more. It retails for $349.99 and you can buy it directly from the Pigeon website (free shipping too).

I tried to enter the info for participants to review the pigeon mini pump but it submitted before I could enter the details correctly for its functions. I meant to write, power, mode, increase and decrease.

I’m going back to study soon so a mini pump would be perfect to trial as I was currently going to lug around my spectra S2
