Hands up if you’ve got a fur baby (or three) currently cuddled up next to you on the couch. Anyone who owns a dog knows that these loyal creatures are very much a part of the family and choosing the right name for said family member is a big decision.

That’s why we decided to gather up the most popular dog names of the year. Like our baby name posts, these puppy names are the most top ones selected by Australian families, according to MadPaws.

The list stems from a database of over 500,000 Australian pets, and is Australia’s largest ever pet index.

Is your pup’s name on the most popular dog names list??
