When it comes to royal baby names, we automatically think of names like Charlotte, George, William, Elizabeth, Charles, Harry and Louis.

But there is a whole kingdom full of regal and royal baby names that you most likely hadn’t thought of before. Names that are sophisticated, bold, elegant and powerful, yet won’t be topping any most popular baby names lists anytime soon.

Allow us to introduce you to 25 unusual royal baby names that glisten with regal charm and are the perfect fit for any prince or princess.

Tiaras at the ready…

1. Alexia – Princess Alexia is part of the Netherland monarchy and the lovely name means “defender of mankind”. Very warrior-like!

4. Rania – Rania means “to gaze” in Arabic and is the lovely name of Queen Rania of Jordan.

5. Leopold – Yes, we know Leo is hugely popular right now, but little Leopold is still mostly reserved for the royals. Prince Leopold currently presides as the Duke of Albany. Very Bridgertonesque, don’t you think?

6. Eloise – Speaking of Bridgerton, Eloise is also an uncommon royal name thanks to Eloise of Orange-Nassau, daughter of Prince Constantine.

8. Blanche – Originally a royal name from France, Blanche is now paving the way for old-school cool. It means “pure”.
