If ever you thought Bindi Irwin was as squeaky clean as they come, you have to see how Australia’s favourite daughter and mum of one made an awesome start to the New Year – she now rocks some very cool, very on-brand tattoos!
Guys, Bindi Irwin isn’t a regular mum – she’s a cool mum.
It’s 2022 and Bindi gets inked!
Bindi has posted on her Instagram feed, sharing with her 4.8 million followers that not only does she have a beautiful family to show off and share, she also has some brand-new, permanently tattooed artwork to show off. Bindi now sports the handwriting of her late Dad, Steve Irwin, the original Wildlife Warrior and an alligator on her forearm along with a wreath on her wedding finger.
The post featuring Bindi’s arm and her sweet baby girl, Grace, looking all very interested in mama’s new accessories is captioned with:
The words I spoke to our daughter as I held her for the first time in my arms were, “My graceful warrior”. That’s how her name was born. This is my dad’s handwriting to keep him with me, always. Our dear alligator, Daisy, is next to these words to represent our conservation work as Wildlife Warriors. And my beautiful wedding ring in bloom. Validation every day of the three most important things in my life: family, purpose and unconditional love. ❤️ Since Grace’s breastfeeding journey ended, now felt like the perfect time for this empowering artwork.
It’s a thumbs up from the family
Now no one needs to give you a thumbs-up of approval when you tattoo your own body but it was really sweet to see Bindi’s family drop into the comment section on her Instagram post with encouraging words and a tick of approval – or in the case of Bindi’s brother Robert Irwin, the repeated raised hands emoji – which is even better than a tick emoji, let’s be honest. Bindi’s husband of almost two years, Chandler Powel left this sweet comment:

New year, new family photos from Bindi Irwin!
Tattoos weren’t the only new thing for the Irwin-Powell gang this year, Bindi also shared some beautiful new candid family photos captured on film (yes, old-school film!) by her talented Wildlife Warrior / photographer extraordinaire younger bro, Robert Irwin.
