The Wildest Celebrity Baby Names of 2021

2021 is nearly done and dusted but we couldn’t end the year without sharing some of the wildest celebrity baby names of 2021.

What did celebrities name their babies this year? Some went with traditional options while others veered well away from the common names.

Behold some of the wildest celebrity baby names of 2021:

Grace Warrior

We had to start with little Grace Warrior, the daughter of Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell. While Grace is a common and elegant option, Warrior is definitely not. And it suits her just perfectly! After all, she’s the cutest little Wildlife Warrior around!

Cosmo

Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost choose a name that is out of this world for their son. Cosmo also has a big sister named Rose.

Jupiter Iris

Ashley Tisdale welcomed her first child, daughter Jupiter Iris in early 2021.

Khai

Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik kept their daughter’s name a secret for several weeks before sharing the name with the world – little Khai! While Kai is a pretty popular name for boys, we’ve not heard Khai for a girl before.

Ender

Singer Halsey and Alev Aydin welcomed their baby, Ender Ridley, born in July. As a Turkish name, the meaning of Ender is ‘very rare, precious’ and is actually quite common in Turkey.

Oonagh

Amber Heard introduced her daughter, also born in July 2021 – Oonagh. Pronounced Oon-na. The name means “pure, holy” and is a version of Agnes (Greek), Oona (Scottish, Irish, Gaelic) and Una (Latin).

Rhodes

Emma Robert, the niece of Julia Roberts, welcomed her first child this year too and opted for the woodsy name, Rhodes. The name means From A Clearing In The Woods.

Rumi-Ray

Slumdog Millionaire star Freida Pinto and her husband, Cory Tran, went with the double-barrelled moniker, Rumi-Ray for their son.

Lilibet

Okay so this isn’t that ‘wild’ but we had to include the darling Lilibet, or Lili. It’s not a name you hear every day – well Lili is, but we predict we’ll see a lot more Lilibets in the not-too-distance future.

Sire Castrello

Singer Usher welcomed a son this year, named Sire Castrello. He’s also got a daughter named Sovereign Bo.

Saint Leo and Thunder

What makes these names so epic? The fact that their father is Usain Bolt. So we’ve got Saint Leo Bolt and Thunder Bolt. Usain also has a daughter named Olympia Lightning Bolt. Would we expect anything less from the confident Olympian?

Illusia

Speaking of fitting names, Criss Angel – the famed illusionist, named her daughter Illusia. Magical!

Prince

Aaron Carter (we remember him, right?) welcomed his first child in November 2021 – a baby boy named Prince. Prince isn’t the first “Carter” child to be crowned with a royal name. Remember one of Beyonce’s kids is named Sir Carter.

Aaron’s big brother Nick Carter also welcomed a daughter this year, named Pearl.

Bodan

Elisha Dushku, The Bring It On actress, and husband Peter Palandjian welcomed their second baby, son Bodan. They’ve also got another son, Philip, but they call him Bourne.

Chiara Darby

Chiara means “light, clear” in Italian and is as cute as can be. It’s the name chosen by Malcolm in the Middle star Christopher Masterson and his wife Yolanda Pecoraro.

Zion, Zilllion Heir and Zen

Nick Cannon welcomed three babies in 2021 – twins Zillion Heir and Zion Mixolydian with Abby De La Rose on June 14th followed by Zen S. nine days later with model Alyssa Scott.

Tragically little Zen passed away in December 2021 from a brain tumour. Our thoughts go out to Nick and ALussa on this heartbreaking loss of their little guy.

Sebastian Apollo Bear

Emily Ratajkowski welcomed her first child, Sylvester Apollo Bear, with her husband Sebastian Bear-McClard in March. While Sebastian is pretty common, it’s the Apollo Bear that threw us for a bit of a loop.

Rocklin Von

Tom Welling, who starred in Smallville back in the day, went with the trendy Rocklin Von for his son. If that’s not a bad-ass rockstar baby name, then I don’t know what is!

Rocco and Bonham

Real Housewives of Melbourne star Jackie Gillies and Silverchair drummer Ben Gillies also went the bad-ass rockstar route for their twin boys, Rocco Ivan and Bonham David. Bonham is named after Led Zeppelin’s drummer, John Bonham.

Prairie Moon

Aussie star Teresa Palmer is no stranger to nature-inspired baby names. She is already mum to Poet Lake, Bodhi Rain, and Forest Sage with hubby, Mark Webber. She welcomed her fourth baby, Prairie Moon, in August.

Pfeiffer Lucia

Teresa Palmer’s ex, Scott Speedman also welcomed a baby girl this year, named Pfeiffer. The name means Piper (musician).

Frederikke

Channel 9 personality Tom Steinfort also choose an unusual option for his daughter – Frederikke, born November 2021.

Of course, there were hundreds of celebrity babies born in 2021 and many parents chose perfectly traditional names, including Mae (Hilary Duff), August (Mandy Moore and Princess Eugenie), Sienna (Princess Beatrice) and Dakota (Macauley Culkin).
