Move Over Grumpy Cat! Meet Grumpy Baby

The scowl is strong with this adorable grumpy baby. And we can’t get enough!

After all, if there is anything cuter than a wee baby wrapped up, it’s a wee baby wrapped up giving us the stink eye.

Resting bitch face on point

This cheeky little scowler is the latest baby to make the social media rounds after her photos were shared by Ohio-based photographer Justine Tuhy.

With the photos, Justine writes,

These might just be the best baby facial expressions I have ever captured! Mom and Dad both said she came out with this same face!”

How flippin’ cute! And it’s not just us who think so. Since sharing the photos just a few days ago, Justine’s received thousands of comments with other parents also posting photos of their grumpy posers.

In addition to the grumpy babies, parents are also sharing a few side-by-side shots of the grumpy baby next to some of society’s most popular scowlers, such as Ice-T, Grumpy Cat and Lyanna Mormont from Game of Thrones.

Heck, she’s even been made into a meme and a classic one at that!

Why the long face?

As cute as it is, scowling is actually pretty common for newborns and rarely a cause for concern. According to a study by Michigan State University, babies may furrow their brow if they are hungry, gassy, sleepy or simply interested in their surroundings.

Can your baby pull off the scowl?

My third daughter was a Master Scowler from day one but, she’s got nothing on Grumpy Baby above. Share your own grumpy baby pics with us on our Facebook page. We would love to see them!

Avatar of Jenna Galley

Born and raised in Canada, Jenna now lives in Far North Queensland with her tribe. When the mum-of-three is not writing, you can find her floating in the pool, watching princess movies, frolicking on the beach, bouncing her baby to sleep or nagging her older kids to put on their pants.
