Savvy shoppers have found a $2 Kmart cleaning hack that will make you seriously rethink your vacuum.
All you need is a window squeegee and a little bit of elbow grease.
According to several Kmart fan facebook groups, if you glide a $2 window squeegee down your carpet, the rubber edge will collect dust and pet hair gathered deep into the fabric.
Sadly, it’s not automatic. You need to get down on your hands and knees to do this cleaning job. But, if you are sick of the pet hair still being there after you have vacuumed, this Kmart cleaning hack may be worth the effort.

What’s really incredible is that Ashleigh had ALREADY VACUUMED. So that grey stuff is actually the crud the vacuum didn’t pick up. Ewww.
“Can you tell I have a grey fluffy cat? Definitely investing in a better vacuum ASAP!,” Ashleigh wrote when she posted it.
Ashleigh isn’t the only one. Thousands of people have replied saying they have tried it and it is working.
I’m not sure exactly what brand of vacuum Ashleigh has, but I would ditch it too. It would be really interesting to see if this still works with one of those vacuums that promise to suck up pet hair.
