Perfection Fresh Qukes® Baby Cucumbers are the go-to cucumber snack we all need. Australian grown, with tender, crisp skins, they’re brilliant for snacking on the go or as a quick and light option to tide little one’s over until dinner. They can even be amped up and stuffed, just like we did here!

We took three packs of Perfection Fresh Qukes® and turned them into three sensational (and very different) bento lunch boxes that kids can’t help but devour.

We’re pretty sure these lunch boxes are sure to be eaten at school and not returned home uneaten. Now that’ll make a change, hey?!

What you need

  • Qukes® baby cucumbers
  • Sliced chicken loaf
  • Butter
  • Mayonnaise
  • A big cookie cutter!
  • Extras: mandarin, raspberry, edible eyes, popcorn, cherry tomatoes

What to do

  1. Slice the Qukes® thinly, lengthways.
  2. Spread the bread with butter and mayonnaise.
  3. Top one piece of bread with the sliced chicken loaf pieces (Or turkey! Or ham!)
  4. Layer the sliced Qukes® on top, slightly overlapping.
  5. Use the cookie cutter to cut a shape out of the other piece of bread.
  6. Sandwich together!
  7. Fill the rest of the bento box with delicious fruit, popcorn, cheese and veggie snacks.

Qukes® baby cucumbers

What you need

  • Qukes® baby cucumbers
  • Carrot, sliced
  • Capsicum
  • Hummus
  • Edible eyes
  • Extras: sliced cheese, cherry tomatoes, Veggie Rings, strawberries, raspberries

What to do

  1. Cut Qukes® lengthways into quarters. They make awesome dippers, so make sure there’s plenty!
  2. Use the end of a small capsicum to create a dip bowl. Fill with hummus and position in the bento box. Slice the remaining capsicum into sticks.
  3. Add the carrot and capsicum slices to the Qukes® wedge dippers.
  4. Create a Qukes® skewer by weaving slices of Qukes® and cheese stars on a cocktail stick.
  5. Fill the rest of the bento box with cherry tomatoes, Veggie Rings and berries.
  6. Make a cute face for the hommus dip and you’re DONE! YUM!

Qukes® baby cucumbers

What you need

  • Qukes® baby cucumbers
  • Sliced cheese
  • Sandwich ham/chicken
  • Cream cheese
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • String to tie together
  • Extras: boiled egg, a small pear, berries, grapes, crackers, edible eyes

What to do

  1. Slice Qukes® in half, lengthways and scoop the seeds out.
  2. Spread cream cheese on top of the sandwich meat.
  3. Lay a piece of cheese on top of one-half of the cucumbers.
  4. Roll up the sandwich meat and lay on top.
  5. Slice the tomatoes and add them too!
  6. Pop the other half of the Qukes® on top and tie together!
  7. Fill the rest of the bento box with tasty favourites – boiled egg halves, pear, berries, crackers and cheese and Qukes shapes.
