So Sweet! Kindergarten Class Goes to Court to Cheer on Classmate on Adoption Day

Sometimes we all need a happy story to hit us straight in the feels. This one delivers the goods!

Meet Michael Clark Jr. He’s the adorable little guy casually chilling out in the courtroom seat. Next to him are his adoptive parents. And behind him? His entire kindergarten class.

Prior to this special day, Michael shared with his class that he would be getting adopted by his foster family, who he had lived with for over a year. It was a big deal and a special moment and he wanted all of his classmates there.

He told his new dad, Dave Eaton, “You know, the class is kind of my family.”

A special field trip

So his teacher, Kerry McKee made it happen and organised the greatest field trip of all time to the Kent County courtroom in Michigan, USA.

They were all on their best behaviour as they sat quietly and tried not to fidget through the proceedings. They also all brought red and pink heart wands to wave.

Kerry and Michael’s classmates clearly all love Michael just as much as Michael loves them.

Kerry explains,

“We began the school year as a family. Family doesn’t have to be DNA, because family is support and love.”

What a supportive and beautiful kindergarten class!

During the proceedings the children all took turns introducing themselves to Judge Patricia Gardner, and told them why they were in her courtroom, and why they loved Michael too.

No bones about it

Check out this adorable friendship between a toddler and his skeleton. Theo’s mum documents their friendship as the skeleton accompanies her son everywhere – to the park, to the beach, to the shops. Nope. Nothing spooky about that. Just pure toddler sweetness!

Twin powers

We also love this unique birth story about twin sisters who gave birth to little girls on the same day. Wanna hear the craziest part? That day happened to be their birthday!

So now the twins not only share a birthday, but their daughters do too. Four parties in one day – bring on the cake!!

Small but mighty

Speaking of twins, these twins shared a womb for seven months but came out in completely different sizes. Born at just 30 weeks gestation, Neve weighed just 650 grams while her brother Louis weighed a healthier 1.45 kilograms.

Neve wasn’t expected to survive but survive she did! It was actually Louis who experienced severe health complications after birth, which left the twins separated for 14 days. Two weeks after the delivery, the twins have finally reunited again and their twin cuddle speaks volumes. How beautiful!
